Your hosts for the week, Ellie & Tor

Ellie Heath / Yoga Teacher

My personal yoga practice began seven years ago, first as an antidote to a stressful job and then became an integral part of my life. I competed my 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with Mudra Yoga.

For me, yoga provides a sanctuary for calm, self-discovery and personal growth. I love to explore both yin and yang elements in my classes, cultivating a balance between strength and light. My teaching style is flowing, creative and well-balanced vinyasa, with an emphasis on movement with breath and finding meditation in movement.

I divide my time between teaching yoga at a studio in the Swiss Alps, and working as a medical doctor in Scotland. Through my passion for promoting self-care and holistic health, I began yoga and wellbeing retreats and private lifestyle medicine coaching to help people meet their health goals.

Tor Anderson / Chef

I've been cooking professionally for the last 14 years. It's a career that's led me on many adventures, from making tapas in Seville, to catering for weddings in the middle of a field, to helping set up a cookery school in Edinburgh.

Mouret is particularly close to my heart, however, as I spent one of my all time favourite summers cooking here a few years ago. So I am delighted to be coming back and bringing seasonal and delicious cooking to you.

       Yoga, workshops and daily activities

Vinyasa yoga cultivates flexibility, strength, and balance. This dynamic style is a creative mix of flowing sequences and challenging postures, harmonising breath and movement to bring balance to both body and mind.

During our week together we will practice yoga twice daily (morning and evening) on full retreat days. The morning class will begin with some guided meditation and Pranayama (breath work), followed by a wakening, energizing vinyasa flow. The evening class will be slower paced, and will include Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. All levels are welcome, regardless of experience.

    Delicious food

Tor says "Food plays a large part of any yoga retreat, and whilst you are with us, we can promise wholesome, hearty and healthy food that makes you feel great. We are offering a vegetarian menu, but one that meat lovers will enjoy as well! Expect bold flavours, bright colours and brilliant company to share it all with. "

Please note that whilst strict food allergies will be catered for as far as possible, we are unable to provide individualised menus for specific dietary preferences.
